A small package without any compromises. The Contender Machine Works 2×48 belt grinder was designed to be a compact grinder with the features and power of a full-sized 2×72. This grinder is an excellent choice as a do it all machine in a small garage or as a standalone dedicated grinder in a professional shop. This grinder has many options and can be packaged out exactly how you want it. There are two motor options available but only one frame so that a standard 56C motor and VFD can be added later on if desired.

Two motor options:
110v 2 hp servo motor with a variable speed control, Forward/Reverse and an E-Stop. Just mount the control and plug it in. 200-3500 RPM.
110v/220v AC motor with KB vfd. The same set up used on the Mach 4 grinder. Does NOT come wired. (Contact me if you would like it wired for your application)
Ratchet tensioner with a dual directional pawl. This dual directional tensioner is what allows the grinder to be so compact but still accept all the different attachments and contact wheels up to 8 inches.
Independent tracking on the two front pulleys. The rigid (top) pulley is only used when the flat platen is installed or when slack belt grinding.
Easy horizontal tilting.
Two different mounting options for tool arms.
5-inch solid aluminum drive wheel that has been crowned for better tracking.
Includes a mild steel flat platen. All other attachments sold separately.
