This is a special use platen made for grinding in tight, open slots. The platen is 1/16 inches thick in the middle so, depending on the thickness of the belt, it can be used to grind open slots and other tight areas less than 1/8 inches wide. The platen is made from AR500 (high wear resistance) for long life. The platen can be flipped backwards to offer a short section of slack belt grinding for even tighter areas. The platen is 7.75 inches long and 2 inches wide and has pass through bolt mounting options for 6 and 6 ¾ inch bolt patterns. 1/4-20 bolts and nuts included.
